two months waiting

In the midst of this busy week we reached two months on the adoption referral waitlist. Though from my understanding we really haven’t moved up on the list at all from last month which is a bit of a bummer (do people still use the word bummer?).

Despite the news of not moving up on the list it was a pretty good day because we got a much anticipated paper in the mail -our Canadian Immigration and Citizenship Part 1 approval. Now we just need to get it notarized and ship it off to Social Services in Regina and they will forward it down to our agency in Georgia where it will meet up with the rest of our dossier. And then we have officially completed our dossier! Whoop!

We would love for you to continue to pray for us as we wait!

with love,
Chantel

  1. I still say bummer all. the. time!! haha Keep on using it! I actually told a group of women last week that I was going to bring the word ‘rad’ back and proceeded to use it the rest of the night. It was funny!

What’s a ‘dossier’? I’ve never heard that word before and know little of adoption or even Canadian citizenship…

    1. Rad! Let’s just bring back all these words!
A dossier (pronounced doss-ee-ay) is pretty much just a file of all the paperwork we have to do for our adoption; criminal record checks, child abuse checks, medical checks, copies of birth certificates, the homestudy report, etc, etc, etc.

    1. Thank you so much!! We really appreciate every prayer. We must have an army praying because I really haven’t gotten too anxious yet, and I’m not a patient person so that is a small victory right there!
